No Nut November 2026: Join the NNN Challenge
No Nut November (NNN) is a 30-day internet challenge in which you avoid ejaculating. The 2026 challenge runs from Sunday, November 1 to Monday, November 30, and you can join it in the TrueAlly app.
There is no official rulebook, so every group plays it a little differently. New to NNN? Start with the No Nut November guide. TrueAlly gives you a recovery contract, daily check-ins and community support for the whole month.
Starts Sunday, November 1, 2026
No Nut November rules
No Nut November is an informal internet challenge. No person or organization owns it, and there is no official rulebook. These are the common rules, which change a little from version to version.
- Don't ejaculate for the month. The window runs from 12:00 a.m. on November 1 to 11:59 p.m. on November 30, in your local time.
- Masturbating to orgasm breaks the challenge in every version.
- Standard versions also ban orgasm during sex. The original 2011 version allows it.
- Hard mode is porn-free. It bans porn as well as ejaculation, so choose it if porn is the habit you want to change.
- Wet dreams and erections don't count, because they're involuntary.
- Edging without finishing doesn't technically break the rule, but most players count it as cheating.
- In the classic game, one slip ends the run. Some groups play with three lives instead.
If you want to cut porn as well as ejaculation, follow the No Porn November protocol, a porn-free plan with week-by-week steps, or play hard mode.
For the reasoning behind each rule, read the No Nut November guide.
How the TrueAlly challenge works
The challenge runs inside the TrueAlly app. Here is what you will use during the month.
- Your contract. Write a No Nut November contract in minutes. Name the challenge, list your triggers and lock in the boundaries you will follow each day.
- Daily check-ins. Record urges, wins and mood each day, and watch your streak grow.
- Reminders. Set reminders so your check-in doesn't slip.
- Support when urges spike. Get real-time support in the app, use guided meditations for stress and anxiety, and share a setback or ask for help in the community (Ask & Advise).
- A reset if you slip. The app resets your plan and prompts a reflection, so you can keep going without shame.
TrueAlly is not a porn blocker. It helps you build new habits, so if you want a blocker too, read how to block porn.
TrueAlly is free to download on iPhone (iOS 15.1 or later) and Android, with optional in-app subscription plans.
How to get through 30 days
Plan for the hard moments, not the good days. These six habits help when an urge shows up.
- Pick your version before November 1. Write it down. Deciding the rules in the middle of an urge is how streaks end.
- Name your danger windows. Late nights, boredom, stress and being home alone are the usual ones. Plan for those hours, not just for the good days.
- Make the easy path harder. Charge your phone outside the bedroom, log out of the apps where you scroll into trouble, and add a blocker. Friction does what willpower can't.
- Surf the urge. Urges rise, peak and fade. Change rooms, move your body, and give it 15 minutes before you decide anything.
- Plan for a slip. Note the time, place and trigger, then keep going. Your streak resets, but the month doesn't.
- Say your day count out loud. Check in with one person each day. Saying "day 12" out loud makes day 13 easier.

Frequently asked questions
When does No Nut November 2026 start and end?
It starts at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2026 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2026, in your local time zone. That is 30 days. There is no official sign-up or referee.
What are the rules of No Nut November?
There is no official rulebook, so the rules depend on the version you play. Everyone agrees on one thing: no ejaculation for the month. Masturbating to orgasm is off-limits in every version. The original 2011 version allows orgasm during sex, standard versions ban it, and hard mode, the porn-free version, also bans porn.
What counts as failing No Nut November?
Masturbating to orgasm breaks the challenge in every version. Sex that ends in orgasm breaks it in standard and hard-mode versions, but not in the original 2011 version. Wet dreams and erections don't count, because they're involuntary. Watching porn breaks only hard mode, but it makes a slip far more likely in any version.
Is No Nut November healthy?
For most people, a month without ejaculating carries no known medical risk, but it has no proven physical benefit either. Claims that NNN raises testosterone aren't supported by good evidence, and longer abstinence has been linked to lower sperm quality. Many people who report benefits point to the break from porn, not to abstinence itself. If your mood drops during the month, talk to a doctor or therapist. In the US, if you feel hopeless or in crisis, call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Can women do No Nut November?
Yes. Anyone can take part, and the rules translate directly. The original version bans masturbation, while standard and hard-mode versions also ban orgasm during sex. The porn-free hard mode works the same for everyone who wants to change their relationship with porn.
What should I do if I slip during No Nut November?
Don't let one slip decide the month. Note the time, place and trigger, ask what you would change, and keep going. Your streak resets, but the month doesn't. If slips keep happening no matter what you try, talk to a doctor or a therapist who works with compulsive sexual behavior.
Does the TrueAlly challenge cost anything?
